What El Dorado Irrigation District means to me and you

Our District's gravity-fed water distribution system feeds 63,000 ratepayers.
It is a complex system that draws from Lake Aloha (near Desolation Wilderness) and runs down the West Slope of the Sierras into the American and Consumnes Rivers.
The beauty of water coming from the snowmelt into our rustic and newly improved flume, down into our reservoirs, conserves the precious liquid Mother Nature delivers to us.
Our water starts at 8,300 feet and flows down to an elevation of around 325 feet.
Capturing and relaying the water uses varied engineering levels to share this precious water with our ratepayers.
